Large Organic Kombucha SCOBY
This kombucha SCOBY is ideal if you are wanting to start making 3-5L of kombucha straight away. Kombucha is a type of fermented tea that is made from a mixture of tea, sugar, bacteria, and yeast (found in the SCOBY). The fermentation process gives the tea a slightly effervescent, tart flavor. Kombucha is believed to have health benefits such as boosting the immune system, aiding digestion, and detoxifying the body. Making your own kombucha allows you to control the sweetness/ sugar, flavorings and probiotic content, unlike many store-bought kombuchas.
How do I make my own kombucha?
If you have not made kombucha before, you may be interested in checking out our kombucha kit that comes with everything you need to get started. All you need to do is add water.
Kombucha is easy to make. You simply require black, white or green tea, sugar, and a kombucha SCOBY. We provide you with all the instruction you need with your order.
What is included in my purchase?
- A large organically grown SCOBY size: 18cm diameter and approx. 5mm-10mm thick.
- Starter liquid to start brewing 5L of kombucha
- Instructions, recipe and aftersales support

We aim to dispatch orders within 2–3 business days of purchase. If there is any delay due to product availability, we will communicate this as soon as possible.
Please note that fermentation cultures are shipped only on Mondays and Tuesdays to help maintain product quality during transit.
If your order contains products from different brands or suppliers, your items may be shipped separately and arrive in multiple deliveries. For example, products from Symbiota and Tiny Leaf NZ may be fulfilled by different suppliers, so shipment and delivery times can vary between items.
Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information will be provided where available.

Refunds & Returns
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us at info@ecowellnesslab.co.nz within 7 working days of receiving your order. Include clear photos of the product and packaging so we can assess the issue and assist you as quickly as possible.
For food safety reasons, we do not accept returns of cultures.
Due to the nature of many of our products, change-of-mind returns may not be accepted. Please review our Refund Policy for full details before purchasing.
